i'll just get to the point on this one. my CEL is on and when i cheked it, the code was 43.
code 43: "No STA signal to ECU until engine speed reaches 800 rpm with vehicle not moving." what exactly does this mean? i've searched for over half an hour and it still isn't making sense. Thank you. -------------------- 1st car- 1994 Celica GT 2.2L 5s-fe SOLD

The starter relay has a splice that connects to the ECU.
Whenever you try to start the car you send battery voltage to the starter through the starter relay. This means you also send battery voltage to the ECU on the STA input wire. If you're getting that code and the engine starting either that splice, the wire off the splice, the connection to the ECU or the ECU is bad. -------------------- |
