I just installed my new headers today (my gf bought for my birthday) and it took about 5 hours...All in all it was totally worth it. There is a huge difference in the way it sounds (much louder now) and I do notice an increase in HP.

I just bought this header and was told that it takes off the second cat. That's fine but for our cars the garage said it will throw off an immediate check engine light unless you got something that sends a false signal from that sensor. Does this really happen because I'm afraid to install it if I'm not going to pass emissions due to a faulty sensor?

QUOTE(Etak28 @ Mar 11, 2008 - 5:53 PM) I just bought this header and was told that it takes off the second cat. That's fine but for our cars the garage said it will throw off an immediate check engine light unless you got something that sends a false signal from that sensor. Does this really happen because I'm afraid to install it if I'm not going to pass emissions due to a faulty sensor? You should be fine. Make sure you install both O2 sensors back onto the header. I've had mine on for a few weeks and no problems yet. But I guess a select few have had issues, if you do a search on here. But you can erase the code later if you get the problem.
