I had this a/c problem, when I turn on the a/c while just started the car, it works fine, blows cold air but then when i drive the car until it warms up, the a/c button flashes. Could i be low in refrigerant or is it my compressor?

Flashing means the compressor isn't running, so it's not going to blow cold air.
It might blow cold for a minute or two because the evaporator is still cold, but if the AC light is flashing the AC isn't working. The light flashes when the AC amp [ECU] sees a difference in speed between the compressor and engine RPM [if it sees this it will turn the compressor off]. Most likely a bad compressor [RPM sensor on compressor or compressor itself], though check the belt first. This post has been edited by alltracman78: Mar 12, 2008 - 2:22 PM -------------------- |
