ST215 Engine Swap, Harder than from an ST205 |

Would swaping in a ST215 3SGTE be any harder than Swapping in one from an ST205? If so do both engines have the same potential. I'd like to be making 300 to 400HP from it after all is said and done.

If you're going to get the stroker kit, the best time to put it in is while the engine is out of the car before your swap. Keep in mind that it's going to cost you a lot of money and it's not necessary to achieve 400 horsepower. As for power gains, I'm sure you'd gain a pretty good amount of power from the increased displacement and reduced rotating weight, and the components replaced would be much stronger. Oh yeah, I've seen a 3S-GTE in a JZA80 Supra producing over 800 horsepower. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
