Well, I have been lurking for the past 2 months or so and decided that it was about time to introduce myself. I couldn't really find any rules against a hello thread but you can move and delete this if need be.
Ok, now that that is out of the way, let me introduce myself. My name is Matt O'Leary and I own a 97 Celica ST 5spd. She only has 54k on the clock (someone was talking about clean celica's in another thread so I felt compelled to post) and is in pretty grand condition. 1. 2. 3. 4. w00t fake wood. I also have a headunit not pictured. 5. She's alot of fun to drive up in the mountains and the fact that this car exhibits such fantastic lift off oversteer is a massive plus. Now for the bad news and the questions. My clutch has very little feel in it and multiple petrolheads I'm friends with have said that my clutch is close to going. However they said this 3000 miles ago and I'm still going with no noticeable change in the clutch feel or car performance. I will eventually need to replace it and plan to do the work myself with massive help from people who know infinitely more than I. what do I need? I was going to just go ahead and buy springs for the car but decided I should ask the experts if my choice is sound and without unforeseeable snags. With my stock wheels on the car will the eibach sportlines be out of the question? Judging by what I have read on this forum and others they seem like exactly what I want. I have a ton more questions but I seem to have run out of patience with myself. So, there ya go. fake edit: yes my license plate says BRO in it, it slays me. real edit: I paid 7600 before taxes This post has been edited by Stealthmode: Mar 11, 2008 - 5:13 PM |

Silly question but will 205/55/15's fit on my wheel? Right now I'm running 205/55/15's and want to make sure that my wheel can handle it. Reason being is that I am going to buy RT615s and thats the size they come in.

If you truly meant 205-55r15 then of course unless there is something weird IDK about that tire? www.tirerack.com has a search by brand or by car - pic your car and look for that tire - maybe that will help? -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. Right now I have these random touring tires on my car that have the 55 sidewall. I'll be getting the tires next week and I am seriously stoked that I will have some grip back. I flipped my bald fronts to the rear so that I would have some grip. Turns out this car really unsettles itself midcorner with no rear end grip. Its tight! |
