Hey guys,
driving back to school today I stopped at a red light, shifted into first starting going again and then bamm!! my engine started to sputand sound like a go-cart. I pulled over lifted up the hood and found my spark plug jammed up into the wire and the wire completely out of the hole. I was able to start the car back up and pull into a parking lot but shortly after that it stalled and I was not able to get it started again (it choked but did not turnover) So what could be my problem. I disconnected the ignition wire from the distributor and am heading to auto zone to get a new plug and wire (if not a whole set) Will this mean I need to replace the engine (finally 3sgte time!! lol) or can I just replace the plug and wire and be ok. Did this upset my timing any Could it be my timing belt snapped? PLEASE HELP!!! PS. I have a 1995 celica gt coupe |

Your plug was loose. Not caused by the timing belt.
Did it damage the threads at all? If you're going to replace a plug, replace them all. Same goes for the wires [you can't buy just one anyways, except maybe from the dealer]. Use anti seize on the threads when you put the plugs in. -------------------- |
