I'm only writing this so people think twice before working on a car in haste.
On Friday a very close family friend was working on the u-joint of his truck. From what I understand the car was on ramps. The car rolled onto him killing him. Not only did he lose his life but he has 2 daughters and his wife is 7 months pregnant with his first son. All I am saying is think twice before you get under your car. MAKE SURE that everything is secure. I know I don't have to say any of this and I'm sure people are reading this thinking "That will never happen to me" or "I've been working on my car for years and this hasn't happened" This guy was always working on his car. He knew what he was doing. So it CAN happen. I know I myself have done stupid things when I'm in a rush. Note: Please do not make comments about how this was stupid or any negative ****. I am not in the mood for it and If I see it I will just have a mod delete it. Just be respectful; If you have nothing nice to say please don't say anything. -------------------- Buy my Celica $2,500 - http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=76562&st=0

that sucks,
i have always been worried about a car falling on me therefore I NEVER go undera car unless it is secured by jack stands and the jack itself...its just too scary ive already seen a car fall off the jack cause the weight the jack was supposed to with hold was too great and i was like um, i coulda been under that :S sorry about your loss, it really sucks that its things like this that makes us realize to be a bit safer and not before hand so we can prevent the outcome. feen This post has been edited by speedfeen: Mar 25, 2008 - 9:45 AM -------------------- FEEN |
