what is the problem

oh no dude no!!
Dont run your headunit thru the stock amp, no no no!! It's only there to push the factory head unit strong enough to run the speakers. Any old aftermarket headunit will put out the same power, and that setup wont allow you to expand. Unplug the amp, and the local wal*mart's wiring harness will attach to the 'speaker->out' plug. it's $5.00 i believe... dont go wiring your head-unit thru the factory amp though, Please!!
