when i replaced my original tails with the ST202s yesterday i was puzzled to see that the USDM have an extra bulb holder for a 194 that acts as a rear side marker lamp. the JDMs do not have a receptacle for that lamp. did you cut and tape yours off or did you just take out the bulb? while on the subject...is there cause for concern if there is no rear side marker now? i had a quick glimps of the rear of the car in a storefront reflection this morning and i guess i could see the outside tail/brake light. i guess they just do things differently over there in the Orient.

There is a boss that is just not drilled out on the JDM tails that you can drill out and install the sidemarker lights. It should only take about 10mins each to do. Pull them back out and look on the sidemarker rear housing - you'll see.

No - actually you don't have to if you screw the bulb in carefully - a dremil would make short work of that task tho - do it right. I think you're right about the legality tho. -------------------- ![]() ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them.
