How much compression can our 5sfe cyl-head handle as far as pistons and decking are concerned? I can't decide on 9:1, 10:1 or higher?

i would go 10.5:1 max, using 93 octane, minimum.

That combination will make a big improvement in power too, especially if you do the cam upgrade and all the other little things you've been talking about. Do it - build an N/A monster man its been done. research the name "jim snoodgrass" he made ~147whp, with engine management and all, shaved head, valve job, and one cam (exhaust IIRC) i would expect ~5-10whp more with the newer electronics, and newer motor. (his was a mr2 "5th gen celica equivlent" motor) -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
