I am the new owner of a 95 celica gt hatchback, I just sold my truck and I have $2500 to spend on my celica. I want to buy a Turbo, what size should I put in, and would I have to bullet proof the block or is it strong enough as is.
Or maybe I should spend it on some custom graphics and a body kit w/wing? Or hell maybe even a system? I even thought about a 3s-gte engine swap but I dont think I want to go that far, or maybe I should. You guys are the experts, Tell me what you think. Thanks in advance for your help, -Brandon -------------------- |

so your in the process of doing a 5sfte? PM me when your engine dies so far we dont have one case of a person who had any sucess with a turbo on a 5sfe. you mentioned nuke...well that guy probably has the most knowledge about doing the tubo install. from what i remeber, he blew his engine up 2 times and then decided to give up on the celica and just buy a turbo car. it dosnt seem to me like Redline_Racer will have any better luck then that. what i want to see is one person turbo a celica and have it running problem free for 50,000miles. then i will believe that a 5sfe can handle boost. now im shure your going to say that you can always build up the engine and maby get lower compression pistons,etc... to help the car deal with the added boost. that might all be true but youll probably end up spending more money then a 3sgte would cost you. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
