I am the new owner of a 95 celica gt hatchback, I just sold my truck and I have $2500 to spend on my celica. I want to buy a Turbo, what size should I put in, and would I have to bullet proof the block or is it strong enough as is.
Or maybe I should spend it on some custom graphics and a body kit w/wing? Or hell maybe even a system? I even thought about a 3s-gte engine swap but I dont think I want to go that far, or maybe I should. You guys are the experts, Tell me what you think. Thanks in advance for your help, -Brandon -------------------- |

Ive done a swap too, my old civic went from a sohc 1.6 to a gsr engine. And I believe that is easier than comming up with a custom turbo setup. The install is harder, but the install is the hard part of a swap and by far the easiest part of a turbo setup. The tuning you need to do take alot more knowlege than what you need to do a swap. Ive not heard of alot of luck with turbo 5sfe's however I havnt looked into it a whole lot cuz Ive got a little ol 7a, but considering what a swap intails Id go for it, my civic was down for a week total, but I had done alot of preperation. |
