So, many of you know I wrecked my Celica, Im saving it for a project car and really like the curren look.... what all does it take to do the conversion..... Any ideas as far as how hard it would be... and im planning on doing a RHD conversion also... I know it'll take a while, but im about to switch to a company sallary and im young and allreaddy have college paid for... ive looked into a 2jz swap and that is at the bottom of my list of maybes, with snapshots 1mz working that gives me alot of desire... can u boost it tho? I dont care if the mods take alot of knowhow, ill be taught how to and if i still cant ill try again, then if I fail to many times ill hire someone...
Whats yalls ideas? And yes I know my title is in Spanglish and I spelt stuff wrong... |

damn Texas really needs help with their education system
![]() 2jz swap = you are probably too poor (if you weren't you'd have bought a supra) RHD swap = more work than its worth and it serves no benefit, I have done it & Madscientist has done it, requires LOTS of drilling, scrapping, maybe some cutting, welding, seam sealing. You'll have to rewire stuff cause none of yours will match up. Curren swap = buy one (rought a grand or so) then you'll have to cut and drilll out the bars on both the clip and your car, making sure you don't bend anything that is needed, measure and line the thing up, weld it back together Its far more efficient and cheaper to swap over a 3sgte, not to mention probably more than you'd need power wise and driving wise. If you want to get "rare" swap over a V6 + E153 tranny and you'll be just as good...attempt a SC install on it even. yes we know what the Houston crew is capable of. Illiteracy and the inability to coherently provide information. This post has been edited by playr158: Apr 17, 2008 - 3:25 PM |
