So the other day I went to pop my hatch and the trunk wouldn't open. I pull the trunk release and it's like it's already release but the trunk doesn't open and it doesn't release.. I tried the key in the back and same story.. I don't have a clue on how to get my trunk open or how to get this fixed.. Any ideas would be much appreciated...

I can pull the release and I can hear the cord moving all the way to the back but it just won't release..

you have to go inside of the car and pull down the back seats - crawl to the trunk and release the cable/latch manually -- the mechanism popped out of place -- you might have to remove the plastic covering of the back to do this - this happened to me a few times and thats what i had to do -

ok, how do I release it manually?? I can't figure it out. I tried messing with it with a flat head but was very unefective that way.. and I'm not sure how to remove the plastic when its stuck shut.. not a whole lot of room to move that stuff around..
