Well the stress cracks along my radiator just gave way so I'll be putting in a new radiator this week-end. I've replaced the main radiator hoses already so this time, while it's drained, I want to tackle all the other coolant hoses. At 11 years and 137K mi it's time. I assume there are a pair that go around behind the engine to the fire-wall for the heater core. Working back there isn't much fun so I've searched the forums for any help changing them and not found anything. Does anyone have any tips for changing the heater core hoses? Do I work from underneath, around the side, or where? Is there something I should remove to get good (better?) access? Are there any other hoses I need to find and change? Thanks in advance!~ |

We'd need to know what your car was and whether or not you have an aftermarket intake - you have no pics and no details on your profile.
But, if you have a GT [Maybe ST also but IDK] with an aftermarket intake you should be able to see/work on them quite easily without removing anything else. Look to the left of the brake Master Cylinder, under the coil and it should be right there easy to get to. Peice of cake. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them.
