ABS Light on, tried code checking Options

So today i brought my car the a local mechanic to change a wheel bearing on the front passenger side. When i got home, i notice that the amber ABS light was staying on all the time. I called them and they told me they might accidentally knocked the sensor and need to check it out. When i realized how expensive such sensor is, i started searching on this forum to fix this the cheapest way. I started by unplugging the battery for 10-15min to reset the system (no luck), also the fuses/relays seems ok. I 'll try soon to do a code checking, volt/amp test on the sensor itself and check if the sensor if actually plugged in correctly.

Questions:

1-where is the sensor located? and how difficult it is to access it?
2-must i use the traditional diagnostic box to do the code checking or the ABS have it's own diagnostic box?
3-do you think it's fair to make the garage pay in case of sensor replacement?
4-do you know if our celica share the same sensor than other toyota models?..or the celica ST? (might help to find them)

i bet the wiring harness for the abs sensor got cut during the process (Code 21).. but we'll see.
