Hi!
I have power windows (as all of us?) and when i what the driverside down the window goes all the way down even if I don't hold the button. That is nice! But my problem/question is that i want the same function for the window going up and for the passager side aswell. Has anyone made this modification? Does anyone know how the window know when it's up so that the windowengine don't burn out? /Johan |

vsideboy: congratulations to you! just a small question, can ju stop it in the middle?
do you know how the inside looks? is there a DEI module?...but it sounds strange that both your car should have that feature and it would not be standard... so i guess that some of the european models just don't have that function.... |

Sorry mate, I didn't mean to sound like I was having a go. I was more confused than anything, I thought all models did it. Both my cars have been Jap Imports so maybe the european ones don't have the feature (I will try to find someone with a UK model and see what theirs does.) And yes I can stop it half way. The button for the drivers window has 4 positions, whereas the passenger one only has 2 positions. They both have the first notch of hold it and it moves up/down until you let go, then the drivers has an extra one so if you goto this second notch then it starts to go on its own until you press the button to the first notch again or it has travelled fully and got to its limit of travel. Nothing out of the ordinary in there mate, like I said I thought it was a standard feature. I've had mine to pieces loads of times, anyway if I remember and I get time I will take mine apart and see if my pcb looks different to yours but from memory I think its pretty mugh the same. (I will try to find someone with a UK model and see what theirs does.) The facelift UK one has driver's down only. I don't know about pre-facelift. From memory, the down is only one position - a momentary press of down will send it down all the way, holding it down, pressing down again or pressing down then up will stop it part way. I'm pretty sure that the lack of auto-up is a safety feature for the UK and US market. I guess Japan doesn't have quite the sue culture that we do. So does anyone know of a Toyota or Lexus with auto-down on both driver and passenger windows? This post has been edited by BloodyStupidDavey: Jun 10, 2008 - 2:04 AM -------------------- Davey
