when I click on a profile link, for example
"http://www.6gc.net/members/1000" it attempts to load "http://www.6gc.net/members/1786/s/889fgfdg897wefgd8fgd78dfg" or miscellaneous other cookie code on the end of the url it keeps doing this until the connection times out hasn't happened to me before today currently running Mac OSX 10.2.8 and the browser is Internet Explorer 5.2 thought you'd like to know about it Coomer - Pieter |

Here's the deal Coomer... I'm not sure which system/code/script this board is running off of (probably written with perl and with some other goodies)... all I know is that it does take UBB...however... the problem with the "not loading profiles" for me is directly related to internet speed software. I'm one of those in the past with a dial up, and some of us thirst for speed... to the point where we need shiat like that... Anyways, the software re-directs protocols over the net to client software which compresses basic hyper text, images, various scripts, and whatnot into smaller files...in turn, "speeding up" your internet experience. For one reason or another, it can compress the webboard script fine...but it cannot compress whatever script runs when you try to access user profiles. It just sits and loads... for me at least, then it gives up or it loads the source code on screen. When I turn off the speed-up software and exit then reload the browser, it does access the profiles and executes the scripts and stuff fine... which led me to conclude, that it's my speed-up software that is screwing up...
