Sup guys! Wow I havent been on here for like half a year
Anyways, I havent done any mods to my car yet; but on the regular tune up/oil change visit my mechanic told me that my tires need to be changed right away, so I figured, instead of spending $300 on replacement donut tires (which I despise) I might as well go ahead and make my car look a little nicer. I want to buy some rims and tires, but I hate thick tires. I dont know much about cars, but I heard my friend call them "low profiles"..idk. But I'm planning on lowering my car a little, and I want some nice wide rims with thin tires- not too thin though..i'm not a fan of 20" rims and spinners and crap like that. So any suggestions? I was checking members rides and the ones that best fit that description were 17". And I think silver would look best with the color of my car. Sorry, I know I can do research as there's plenty of recourses, but I'm on my lunch break right now and I really dont have time to look honestly, and I'm also kinda desperate; I dont want a tire to blow and be forced to waste money on replacements. My budget isnt that great too, i was hoping to find decent rims in the $350 to $500 range, if it's possible. Thanks! Here's a pic of my car to help out: |

Here's a pic of my car to help out: 17's would be nice. when buying tires there are three numbers dealing with size. the tires on my celica are 205 (depth) by 55 (height from rim to the top of the tire compared to the depth) by r15 (diameter of rim). low profiles are nice but usually are summer tires. also check out things like the speed rating. tirerack.com is a good place to look at they also have a lot of information to help you choose tires and rims. -------------------- |
