I'm pretty sure that when I installed the new shock/spring setup, the shocks did not come with bump stops. Now, if I hit a decent size pothole, it sounds like the shocks are really taking a beating (you hear a loud 'thump'). This happens about once a week... Would getting bump stops reduce the chance of that happening?
Also, would I have to take the shocks off the car (and take the springs off too) in order to put the bump stops in? I'm thinking it might be cheaper to wait until I have to change the shocks altogether so I don't pay twice for labor... What do you guys think? *edit: I found a site that sells these http://www.resuspension.com/Bump-Stops-p-1-c-92.html you'll have to scroll down a bit to see them, but I have no idea what size I need... Anyone know??? This post has been edited by Rider: May 24, 2008 - 11:39 AM |

Also, would there even be a point of putting these on with stock springs? -Matt This post has been edited by GotToyota: Jun 18, 2008 - 11:34 PM |

And yeah, you should use them with stock springs too, but you should already have some on there stock. They would only need replacing if they're all cracked and worn out. -------------------- 94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold 88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold 00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car 95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive |

Well mine doesn't have any, so I just ordered some. I'm worried though because Champion Toyota says these are special order, I'm hoping that's not the case with these guys. I'll post pics when I get them. Total was $38.41 shipped to Texas. -Matt This post has been edited by GotToyota: Jun 19, 2008 - 2:35 PM |
