So i've been a member of the 6gc community for awhile now and I have yet to contribute my own celi so i decided its time for me to add a little something over here even if my car isn't completely finished, so first off i got my car in july 2003 with many hopes for my ride, sorry if the pictures are crappy but this is all i have at the moment
herez my car when i first bought it, completely stock herez my car with its first mod, i lowered the car with ebay coilovers(big mistake) 18 inch rims, and clear side markers and 5th gen clear turn signals next was the front blitz kit with molded invader side skirts and molded invader rear bumper, as well as jdm taillights (i know the rear bumper is awful, but at the time it looked aiight haha) after awhile i picked up a seibon carbon fibre hood and painted my rims gold for a small change so then i got sick of the car cuz i just got bored of it, so i decided to get the c-one front bumper and i also ordered the gt-four hood ornaments and got a local bodyshop to mold the hood ornaments on the car, it looked alright except it didn't have the curvy look of an original gt-four hood after getting my car from the bodyshop i decided that speed was what i wanted next, so i got a hold of a 3rd gen 3sgte from a company in calgary and after a week from ordering it, the motor arrived, less than 2 months later the motor was in but not 100%, oh and lets not forget the jdm projectors i scored =) so after getting the engine in my car, i noticed that the stock hood wouldn't fit over top the top mount intercooler, so of course, the project continues, i ordered a gt-four hood from toyotaworld and within 2 weeks it was here and ready to install well of course, everyone knowz about this problem, the gt-four hood has a huge gap when put with a stock bumper like my replica c-one kit, so what was the next step for me? you guessed it..... so now that i got the gt-four front conversion, i had to get rid of the invader skirts and the rear invader bumper, they were just an eye sore and didn't work with the flow of the car at all, so i got a stock bumper, and got a set of trd side skirts and replica trd rear splitters after finally getting all the pieces and putting the car together this is what i ended up with, totally changed the color to black and i had to change my rides shoes, awesome lookin konigs if i do say so myself, oh and i also got me some kyb-gr2's such a better feel when driving also got myself a trd rain deflector and a nice cursive celica emblem to put on the front bumper grill and last but not least, i put on some clear turn lights made from wolfie, their awesome, and yup, my eurou lip waiting to be painted and installed =) sory the cars super dirty here it just finished raining haha so thats why i named my thread the many faces of my celi, its been through alot but its finally where i want it to be, please gimmie some feedback and lemme know what you think, keep in mind its not done yet, but its so close now haha, i'll take more pics once my car is totally ready, enjoy This post has been edited by kloudkicka: Jun 28, 2008 - 4:33 PM |

The rims look great it's the tires. The rims appear to be wider than the tires themselves which is what is throwing everyone's opinions off. Everything else looks great [But then I'd think so wouldn't I?] actually what he was talking about was the offset of the wheels not the width of the wheels. he can fix the offset issue with some spacers...maybe 10mm |
