So, I've had the car for about two months. Everything worked fine up until a month ago; the sunroof suddenly stopped working properly. It opens fine, but when I try to close it again, it stops halfway almost as if it rubs against something. I've checked and there's nothing touching. After a minute or two, it'll go again and I can close it.
I've ruled out the fact that the glass/plastic housing stretches since I've tried in the mornings when the car was cool too. So I've been told it's the motor. First, what do you guys think the problem is, and second, how much would the motor cost too replace? |

[Could it be a short in a wire? Is the problem consistant? Don't know, you guys are the experts...problem is consistent. Thing is, it'll just not work for a minute...after that, it's fine and can close again. It sounds like maybe there's a bearing going out in the motor, or something needs lubed Lubing does sound reasonable, since it seems like it's straining. |
