If it drives you nuts, just go pick it out and put it in the recycle bin. Its not that hard. They don't care, but you do, so do something about it instead of getting in a tiff and creating more CO2 thats depleting your ozone..

Wait...what? I do pick out the cans from the trash. As a matter of fact, I set up a recycling program at a college and did the recycling myself, hauling the stuff in my Celica. So no, I don't just get "in a tiff." I know I'm doing more part to make up for all the carbon I'm releasing into the air but it would be nice to get a little bit of help here and there from others...

They don't care, but you do, so do something about it instead of getting in a tiff and creating more CO2 thats depleting your ozone.. Edit* At the college, there were about 100 students in the dorms. And in the state of MA, you only get money for soda cans and alcoholic containers (no $ for water bottles and most juice bottles). Anyway, every two weeks I would recycle the cans and get any where from $25 to $40. It's not much but it help made the 2 hours I spent go by easier. Now in a state like CA, those cans/bottles would have netted me $50-100 dollars ('cause there's was more H2O bottles than soda/beer). That kind of money isn't chump change anymore. So even if you're not doing it to save the environment, having $50 extra bucks in your pocket is still good motivation to recycle.
