hey, I was just wondering do you think if you serviced your car every 5000km (3000 miles) and everything was looked after perfectly but you drove your car hard everyday as in just revved to near redline but didn't do any clutch dropping or wheel spinning how long do you think the engine would last?
how often do you guys redline? have you guys had any problems from driving the car too hard too much? how many kms, miles have you got out of cars you've driven hard day in day out? I know the car wouldn't last as long as a car that was driven with less revving, it is common sence but would it still generally last a long time. mainly talking about celica engines but I mean in general, bit of a silly question just bored haha. |

ahaha yeah they seem like very stable engines, I drive mine fairly hard but I only take it to 6000 on the od ocastion still do rev it hard though, also very good with oil changes.
my family had an old fiat and it had a newer engine in it but had about 450 000km on the diff and gearbox and I redlined that pretty much every time I drove it and thats from a fiat! haha cars which are supposed to be unreliable but that car didn't have any problems when we had it.
