So i am sanding my spoiler i bought for my celica, it was painted a darker blue than my car so i am going to sand it all and paint it to match my car. SO....

How far down do i need to take it when i am sanding it? All the way down or just enough to wear it is almost to the primer?

If the paint that's on there is in reasonable/good condition, all you will need to do is key the paint with a scotchbrite pad or similar, prime & spray.

If the paints not good, sand using 800-1000 grit paper until you get a smooth enough surface, then prime & spray.
