This is just a rant from someone that are perfectly (probably too) happy with his car except for one thing, this is just one mans taste so if someone else disagree that's perfectly fine.
When I enter my car it never feels like a '94, it's easily interior (and exterior) wise comparable to much newer cars just for the slick lines, that is ofcourse until I gaze upon the center console. It's the one part that really looks it's age, the huge am/pm clock and the climate controls, I do intend to get on trying to mod the colors like I did with the clock thanks to guides here but that hardly makes things better unless it's pitch black in the car, and I haven't been able to find any other suggested mods I like, the carbon wrapping I tried and didn't like and spray painting it I think would just make it look worse, bought those chrome strips that you clip on the air outtakes but only made it look gay. The lower part with the gearshift/e-brake I think I've managed to look fairly OK and updated, new part chrome gearshift knob and e-brake handle, chrome cigarette lighter and subtle carbon wrapping on the lid to the storage thingy next to the e-brake (though that in chrome too would make me... you guessed it, moist). So question is, are there any more mods to the center console that can be done? I'm thinking like the knobs and buttons if there are any similar car that one could steal from or things like that. That actually looks nice, the blue led mod is something I already have planned, your center in silver looks nice too.
I wanted to try to think outside the box with my mods, much like an artist I just gave myself complete freedom in the cabin and this is what I came up with. (it's actually the spare pieces from when we wrapped the center console in carbon and changed clock color) I was thinking about trying to do something myself for my climate controls, some kind of overlay sticker like the white one, and some kind of permanent place for my GPS like I saw someone else had placed it next to the steering wheel on the side. Thanks for all the suggestions so far, I'm really new at this so it's baby steps still. -------------------- |
