soo... i want to repaint my car another color, i was thinking of doing it myself or at least primer the car myself to save some money. is it a good idea? and if so, what kinda of tools would I need.

I agree and dissagree.
If this is something you want to do, then you need to learn else-where, then bring it to your car. You will need a LOT more than some spray cans to get the job done. You'll be needing several hundred (if not thousand) dollars worth of tools & supplies, plus MUCH experience. I reccomend that you learn to spray first, then get your car involved. Otherwise, take it to a pro. Just my .02 Cents though, it's your car, do as you please.
