hey everyone my name is thomas and id like to say hi. I'm not new to celicas as i've had mine for a while but im definately new to forums in general. I made sure to cruise this site for a while before joining as to not ask any irritating questions, so hopefully i dont annoy anyone with this one. Lately, depressing the clutch pedal on my '99 gts elicits a creak from the tranny bellhousing. I imagine its my slave cylinder and have a clear shot at it when i remove the dust boot. I'm debating whether or not to try to lube up the assembly with a can of heavy chain lube. the only thing im paranoid about is soaking the clutch. This is a pretty common issue with stickshifts but i've never had to deal with it myself until now. tell me what you guys think the best solution is.

yea thats how mine was whenever the weather turned too hot or too cold. but this has become a constant issue recently and hasn't shown signs of leaving. should i risk trying to spay it with chain lubricant?
