hey everyone my name is thomas and id like to say hi. I'm not new to celicas as i've had mine for a while but im definately new to forums in general. I made sure to cruise this site for a while before joining as to not ask any irritating questions, so hopefully i dont annoy anyone with this one. Lately, depressing the clutch pedal on my '99 gts elicits a creak from the tranny bellhousing. I imagine its my slave cylinder and have a clear shot at it when i remove the dust boot. I'm debating whether or not to try to lube up the assembly with a can of heavy chain lube. the only thing im paranoid about is soaking the clutch. This is a pretty common issue with stickshifts but i've never had to deal with it myself until now. tell me what you guys think the best solution is.

well the clutch creaked one to many times and i couldnt stand it any longer. the dust boot came off once again and i sprayed some no sling motor cycle chain lube in there. The quiet pedal returned my sanity and it was time to worry about the clutch itself. I must've had good aim since the car acts just fine.
this adventure was a big success. so anyone out there with the same problem go ahead and try some chain lube. just dont use too much as you dont want a puddle at the bottom of your bellhousing o.0
