soo... i want to repaint my car another color, i was thinking of doing it myself or at least primer the car myself to save some money. is it a good idea? and if so, what kinda of tools would I need.

I say go for it. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do something. I am going to get a gun myself and start teaching myself things. I am a self taught person as I am assuming you are too.
