My sister normally drives the Celica and one day she came to me telling me that the steering is really hard on the car now. I'm off work today so I finally had some time to look at it and this is what I found.
So now I need to know where's the best place to buy a whole new timing belt kit. Are Autozone's ok or am I better off buying off from the expensive Toyota Dealership? Any help is appreciated. |

I would say replace the timing belt if there not sticker near the time cover saying it been done. Also while your in there you might want to change some seals they are camshaft seal, oil pump seal, there that spider looking one. Someone can quote the right names for them but I replace them when I do the timing belt so I don't have to go in there later and replace them. I also check the water pump to if it never been done I would check it out.
Here my take buy them from toyota dealer they last longer then Aftermarket and I personal have done the test on customers cars who brough me aftermarket belts to do. the drive belts which are the ones broken in your photo that up to you I would still get Oem I scene toyota timing belts last about 100,000 or more not being replace. After market I scene go less. |
