I was wondering if we are alowed to purchase a car in canada, drive it over the border, and legally get it registered, inspected, insured and so on....gt-4's, skylines, whatever....i know we can't import from china privately i dont think but i figured since we are neighbors with canada theres gotta be something we can do...anyone that actually knows for sure please give some input on this.

I've heard of that too, and that it applies to regular citizens (sp?) too. You would have to live and work in the car's country of origin for 1 year. You could then bring it back, exempt of the 25-year rule. This would be feaseable only once in your lifetime.
I've heard it once from one of my buddies that imports cars and I wouldn't know if this also applies to the US. So at this point it should be pretty much considered hearsay until someone can verify the info. -------------------- One o'dem crazy Canadian freaks, eh?
