I have a 2nd gen 3sgte swap with my factory s54 trans. I am running the stage 4 competition clutch.
So today I took my car out and went to my little cousins bday. I let a buddy of mine test drive my car. Good thing guy came back with the car in one piece. So anyway I had to put the car in reverse to keep from blocking the driveway and it backed up just fine. We drove about 30 minutes to the lake for a bbq. The car sat for about 5 hours and when I had to back up, I couldn't put it in reverse. No matter how much I giggled and how hard I tried to get it in, it won't. I checked my shifter cables already and they are fine. I mean all my gears go in fine, except for the reverse. Should I just buy another s54 or do you guys think its clutch related. I don't have money because people were right about the maintenance on the 3s. I have been spening money here and there tidying things up and now this happens. ![]() -------------------- 98 Celica gt red- totaled deer

There are four 14mm bolts (I think) holding the linkage itself into the transmission. There is also a large bolt on the top (19mm possibly) that holds it in place, you will need to remove this. It physically slides out of the transmission. You will probably need to unbolt the linkage levers from the transmission.
