So i have been looking to buy a another celi to do a 3s swap in and then ONE day do an AWD swap in it, i was really looking forward to this being my money pit, my project car... But... it is looking like it will be alot of money for me to get my AWD celi...
Randomly in my craigslist search for celi's a gsx eclipse came up. Now i had totally forgotten about those cars after i bought my celi, i decided against them because EVERYONE has an eclipse up here, and hardly anyone has a 6th gen. But now that i am looking into buying another car to turn into my toy they keep coming back and plauging my mind, it would be so easy to go drop money and go buy and AWD turbo'd eclipse and be done with it, doing upgrades later and such... I am so lost Do i buy another celi, do the swap, then do the AWD and end up dropping around 18k in it just to get the stock 3sgte in with awd... or do i buy a gsx for 4k-9k and then spend an extra 2-4 grand on goodies? Opinions? This post has been edited by Legit94GT: Aug 2, 2008 - 3:23 PM -------------------- 1 JL 1,000/1v2

A while back a friend of mine who use to own a 6gc who was a member of this forum got a super clean 99 Eclipse GSX Convertible (yes, very rare). After the day we bought it, it started to leak oil. After it started, it leaked MAJOR oil. After we fixed that problem, one of the cylinders died and it only ran on 3 cylinders. After that, the head gasket blew while we fixed it. And then we had to bring it to Mitsubishi to rebuild the whole engine block because it was too much of a hassle. After the engine block was rebuilt and two days after we got it back, the tranny went out. Tranny would be in reverse when we would have it in first gear. And we figured the synchronizers we messed up so we had to rebuild the whole tranny. And guess what... ALL OF THIS HAPPENED WITHIN A MONTH'S TIME!!! It was problem after problem after problem. AND WE BABIED THE THING so it wouldn't break anymore but it still did. If you are willing to invest $6000 within the first year JUST TO FIX IT, then go for it. Besides that, stick with what you got or get a better selection than an Eclipse or Talon.
