hey all
i'm sure this has been covered before but i didnt really find what i was looking for when i searched. i want to lower the car but i'm not sure what all i need to buy. i know i need springs, i'm planning on getting tein springs, but what else do i need? is there a certain type of strut that i should buy? and where is the best place to get this all from? please help me out, sorry if this has been asked many times before.. thank you |

Struts do not come with the strut mounts.
The strut mount can be in reasonable condition, or terrible condition. Mine were literally falling apart when I disassembled my suspension, though they were fourteen years old at the time. Other parts not mentioned: -spring seat insulators (2 rear, 4 front), Toyota dealership only and bloody expensive for pieces of rubber -brake fluid (unless you're willing to cut notches in your new strut, you'll need to disconnect your brakes and therefore will need to bleed them later) Good write-up I found on doing the replacement, though the torque specs don't apply as it's for an MR2.
