So my daughter is almost 14 months old now. She finally is big enough to sit facing forward. She also is talking a lot more saying Mama, Daddy, puppy, keys, etc. Well Sunday we got back from the beach and the family car was full of stuff still so I put her in the back of my Celica for the first time. She fit pretty good and liked looking up at the hatch glass. Anyway I backed up out of my driveway and went thought our neighborhood at about 20 mph. I pulled out on to the main road and got on it a little (hey it’s a Celica) to get up a traffic speed, about 55 mph. Right around 45 mph my daughter lets out a big WEEEEEE! I turn around shocked at first and she has both hands up in the air and proceeds to clamp after I back off the throttle.
![]() ![]() ![]() Glad to see someone enjoys the power of the Celica!! ![]() This post has been edited by ETNRIDER: Jul 29, 2008 - 1:36 PM -------------------- ![]() |

![]() ![]() But that's hilarious, "WEEEE" ROFL!! ![]() I hear you on the chances, I bought a 2008 Kia Optima just for the little girl. I have not had her is the Celica for fear of all the idoits out there. Your daughter will be enjoying riding in your Celica before you know it!! ![]() Woulda had a heart attack if she asked you "Where's the boost?" ![]() ![]() My two boys are 11 and 13 and they know exactly what car they want when they get old enough - mine. Hell no. I told them if they worked for it we'd start with a 5th or 6th gen and maybe right before college we'd add some boost - maybe. They're freakin crazy enough as it is. Sound like good kids! I am old enough and I want you car too!!! ![]() -------------------- ![]() |

I love ours and my Dad and a buddy went out and bought one after driving ours. I could not afford the Altima but Optima sounds close! ![]() This post has been edited by ETNRIDER: Jul 29, 2008 - 2:00 PM -------------------- ![]() |
