So me and my wife have the same Celica, same color, both are hatchbacks. The only difference is she has the 96 ST LTD & I have the 94 GT. Now I have the Premium sound system with the eight speakers & the OEM AMP. I want to know if I can do a direct swap with my wife's OEM radio even though she has the OEM 4 speaker system with no AMP. Are the plugs the same on the back of the decks? Does it matter that I have an AMP and she doesn't. I mean they are both Toyota OEM head units.
Thanks. This post has been edited by Tech-Nics: Aug 1, 2008 - 6:44 PM |

On an 8 speaker system, you have to bypass the amp. 1 under the player and one under the chair but by bypassing, all speakers will turn on except for the door subs that WAS powered by the amp under the chair which will no longer work. You can remove the stock one and put an aftermarket version.
