well,i bought Chinaman's celica two weeks ago, and it's just been running worse and worse since i got it. rough idle, poor acceleration, just horrible engine performance all around. friday night it threw the Check Engine light and later it would barely move. i found myself literally "flooring" it to get moving at all. so today i decided to borrow a friends tools, change my plugs, wires, and fuel filter and ....Voila! problems solved. runs great now. very strong, no hesitation, no bogging down, smooth idle too! And No more Check Engine Light. biggrin.gif

I used NGK wires, and NGK Laser platinum plugs, and a Napa (Wixx) Fuel Filter.
tomorrow i will hopefully change the cap, rotor, pcv valve, valve cover gasket with a friend, along with the CV shaft (never done that).

Yeah, man, my baby ran like crap after I got her back. Seriously.
I put on new plugs, wires, distributor, distributor cap and rotor and
she ran like the day I got her.

I've got to do my fuel filter as well...As soon as I get the extra cash.

My new, blue spark plug wires gave my Celica, roughly, 250 more horsepower..
