I have a new radiator, hoses, thermostat, radiator cap and
wiring harness to my fans. My car appears to be running like a champ (which, believe me, is a big weight off my shoulders). I've driven her in normal conditions for the past two days after replacing the thermostat. I don't seem to be losing any coolant and I'm very damn happy about it. The coolant over-flow level is staying right where it should be. When I open the radiator cap after the engine cools down, my coolant level is just under that tiny "lip" or "shelf" that's on the rear of the radiator side when you look down into the fill hole. I never really paid much attention to where my coolant level was until after I had problems. So I don't really know where it "should" be. Is this normal? Like my Temperature post.. Where does your coolant level sit? And much thanks to Bitter for getting me through bleeding the system and all that. I thought for sure I had a blown head gasket. -------------------- My new, blue spark plug wires gave my Celica, roughly, 250 more horsepower..

im sure its fine, the level will regulate itself by sucking in from the bottle as the system cools and pushing coolant out as the system heats up.
when you remove the cap, it should be near the top of the radiator spout or at the top. -------------------- |
