The intake on my 97 GT cracked and split in the middle
I bought a new intake but it was missing the nipple that sits in the middle of the intake tubing. I dremeled a hole slightly smaller than the tube that goes into that nipple so that it would sit in there snugly. I was just wondering if any of the engine gurus can foresee a problem with this. Also, I have no idea what that tube is for, can anyone enlighten me? -------------------- We shall show mercy, but we shall not ask for it. |

Use something to seal it also... IDK, silicone or something. Just to make sure you don't have a vacum leak. Let me guess... You bought this intake on Ebay? Next time check out your parts before you buy them! Anyway it shouldn't cause to much trouble. maybe a little loss of low end torque if it is leaking air... But then again maybe no change whatsoever.
