i was on my way to the 2nd day of auto-x 2day and my car shut off on my 2 miles away from the track. after fumbling around with it and getting help over the phone from art here is the info i have gathered - plugs are dry - battery is fine - YES i had gas! - no spark - rotor isnt turning i plan on checking the fuel filter tomorrow before i get into the timing belt art said it was most definitely the timing belt but i have yet to check it. just wanted to get some last minute opinions 3 1/2 hours later timing belt on and the car is running again!!!!! it wasnt too hard my buddy and i took it apart and put it back together in record time!!! it isnt. opened up the casing and indeed the belt had snapped hopefully if its a non interference engine there wont be any damage and you can just pop new timing belt on with no damage done heres hoping for you man -------------------- |
