Last fall i patched the bottoms of my doors up really roughly just so my car would pass inspection and not rust through in the 683210789748935 feet of snow we got this winter. Anyways, I went back to attempt to do a more thorough job of it and found that the rust problem has grown to a more extreme level. Personally i think i need some new doors if i want to be rid of this problem. Judging by the pictures, what do you think?

scrap the doors all together and replace them. You can patch and weld etc. all you want but the rust is basically always going to get worse. If it's bad enough you won't have enough good metal to weld to in the first place anyhow!
Damn the VT winters... I had an '87 Pathfinder that originated in VT. That thing was so rusted out that stuff was basically just fused together by rust. But man did it run great! -------------------- ![]() |
