i know this is a common problem among 6gens and i know somewhere someone or ppl have fixed the problem. just wondering what you did and how.

Yes. You have to remove your bumper to access your headlights.
The clips can be purchased at your local toyota parts dealership. EDIT: cant find the part number. Just describe it to your local parts dealer.
