get a S14, FC3S or AE86. Nothing beats cheap RWD power.
I know up here you could get a HCR32 (Nissan Skyline GTS-t) for about $8000 Also, F the WRX. Get a 2.5RS. I know that sounds rough but when it comes to Subaru you want to go for the lightest platform. You can always swap in a wrecked WRX's engine a few years down the line (since most people who drive a WRX drive like a tard) or turbo it but IMO the GC is the most bad-ass looking Subaru ever. You could probably find a cheap 2.5RS and still have enough money for a turbo and some sticky tires. Still with a 10k you have so many options of cheap power. Okay, I might get flamed for this but... 88-91 Civic hatch. 1000-2500 for a good one, 1500-2500 for a B18C(170-200hp depending on variant), 1500 for a good suspension. That generation of civic is known for being super light-weight and being able to tuck a B-series engine under the hood. I know its a Honda and Honda's are gross but who can say no to 200HP @ 8,200 RPM from a stock engine. -------------------- (\__/) (='.'=) This is bunny.
