Ok I have an annoying oil leak backside of the engine, on the passanger side, basically above the oil pan somewhere. It's not the oil pan seal cuz there isn't any oil around it and I can see up into the engine and see wet oil but cannot locate the actual leak. Interesting part and I just realised this, when I jacked my passanger side up, the leak stopped.. ANY clues to what this could be??? I'm REALLY pestered by this, I think I'm more pestered by it cuz I can't figure it out lol!
Thanks.. B. -------------------- ![]() |

I had a similar leak to the one you're describing. I thought mine was a leak in the oil pan gasket, but it turned out that the oil was leaking from under the timing cover and running down the engine where it was dripping off the oil pan. I ended up replacing the crank seal and oil pump seal, which fixed the problem. If you can see oil coming from under the timing cover, this is most likely your problem.
