When i put the key in the drivers door lock, the key wont move the lock left or right, its stuck. The door handle is also loose on the right side so it seems as though one of the nuts that holds it to the door has come loose. I havnt had time to pull the door panel off and take a look at it, but what could be causing the door lock to be stuck and not lock or unlock?
And on the passenger side, i can unlock the doors and i can go to the drivers door and open it, but the passenger side door doesnt open, even if the door is unlocked from the inside. I have to lock the door, and turn the key to the left 2 times and the door pops but locks again, then i have to unlock it again and the door opens. What exactly is causing these issues with the locks? Is it just worn or cracked connectors? This post has been edited by Por2geezcelica: Aug 19, 2008 - 11:59 PM |

so i have both lock cylinders out, and their both screwed. On the back of one, theres a raised area where theres a clip that holds the lever onto the back of the lock cylinder, and half the raised area is broken off so the clip doesnt hold it on very tight. Then the other lock cylinder is missing the spring that wraps around the back of the cylinder. Do you think id be able to get that lever welded onto the back of the lock cylinder, or use jb weld on it to hold it? And if i get a pring for the back of the lock, will that fix the issue?
Anyobdy parting out a car that would be willing to sell me their door lock cylinders and a key? |
