I just finished installing my 6.5" phoenix golds in the doors, was pretty easy, a little custom work, the how-to on here was very useful. Now the rear I thought were 5.25". But after tearing apart all the rear panels to get to the rear speakers, I found the new speakers were a smaller than the stock. I measured the stock speaker and it is 5.5" diameter, which doesnt make sense cuz I dont think there are such thing as 5.5" speakers. Anyone know whats going on here?? Help me out please.
BTW: I have the 4-speaker system. thanks |

Hey.
So i've set photobucket up (thanks manphibian) and here is the image. ![]() The JBL speakers I was going to use come with moutning rings which will fit the speaker into a 6", 6 1/4" or 6 1/2" space which is pretty handy for odd size holes. I just didn't want to buy them if they weren't going to fit. Like I say the measurement is just of the speaker, not the actual mounting spacing so it could be that the aftermarket speaker will drop straight in there no worries. LST |
