Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone knew the proper way to adjust the clutch pedal on our cars? I notice that theres a lot of free play with the clutch pedal before it becomes nice and tight when i press it down. I bleed the clutch fluid thinking it may fix it, but it didnt fix the free play, but did make it tighter. I think i read somewhere that the clutch pedal can be adjusted by loosening a lock nut and twisting the push rod more towards the pedal? Is this the way to fix the free play? And how exactly do you do it? Thanks!

ok under the dash at the pedal box there is 2 adjustments, one is the adjustment on the pushrod that goes to the master cylinder, the other is the stop adjustment (the stop is also a sensor on some cars) what you do is undo the lock nut on the push rod, then pill the split pin off the pin that goes throuht the pushrod and the cluch pedal, then give it a few turns out, then reinstall the pin and see if thats better, if it is put the split pin back in, do up the lock nut and your done.
Make sure that the pushrod is not tight against the pedal when you reinstall, leave a tiny ammount of free play. if you need more travel undo the stop and wind that backards (as in so it winds toward the drivers seat) lock it up, then adjust the pushrod again. -------------------- ST205 Group A Rallye GT-Four, #61 of 77............600hp GT3582r
