Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone knew the proper way to adjust the clutch pedal on our cars? I notice that theres a lot of free play with the clutch pedal before it becomes nice and tight when i press it down. I bleed the clutch fluid thinking it may fix it, but it didnt fix the free play, but did make it tighter. I think i read somewhere that the clutch pedal can be adjusted by loosening a lock nut and twisting the push rod more towards the pedal? Is this the way to fix the free play? And how exactly do you do it? Thanks!

cant i just loosen the lock nut, and twist the shaft towards the pedal, then tighten the lock nut? do i have to remove the u shaped piece? Will the shaft not turn unless i remove the u shaped piece and actually twist that?
so in order to lessen the freeplay, im twisting the shaft towards the firewall, so theres less of the threaded part of the shaft inside the u shaped piece? This post has been edited by Por2geezcelica: Aug 28, 2008 - 10:41 PM |
