I don't mean any disrespect to you west coast 6GC'ers out there, but the more I read about your George Orwellian regulations on that side of the country, the more I'm I sit here in disbelief. I mean, California brought us the-ever-memorable Surfin' USA, The acid soaked Hippie Movement - Tune in - Turn On - Drop Out, and every other laid-back, pot laced theme you could think of. Yet, you can't do anything with your car or they'll take it away? I was just reading this story online (with photos) of dudes who had their cars taken away and crushed by "the man". Needless to say, they were Toyotas and Hondas. Dudes who were doing, say, 20 over the speed limit and were deemed "street racers"... Dude, if that was happening near Detroit, you'd just hear assault rifles and see the National Guard coming in. It'd make the '67 riots look like a practice round. Every Hillbilly in the land would be taking to the streets like road warrior. With giant stickers that said "MODDED" plastered on their cars. As much as I'm a history buff, I'm clueless as to how this took root..and who allowed it to happen. It's so over-the-top, I can't even wrap my head around it. Somebody fill me in. The last time I was pulled over, the cop went right up front and was checking
the grille, I assume looking for an intercooler, he wrote me up for speeding, (73 in a 65, I got tired of some DA riding in my blind spot so I sped up at exactly the wrong time) he then informed me my exhaust is illegal. In the state of WA you must have stock dia from front to rear. I think it is total bs they spend that much on patrol cars, whats the point a radio is still faster than a viper. I am not sure why the taxpayers in those areas put up with crap like that, I would be totally pissed off if I was paying for sports cars for officer oinky. -------------------- JDM guy made me do it.

Yeah we have camaro officers, charger officers, and I think I have seen one corvette officer here. It is total bs. I kind of get upset that they give us a hard time. Not like we can afford a dodge viper or mercedes mclaren. that's what they need to understand. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204
